  Springwater Center for Meditative Inquiry and Retreats is a beautiful retreat center nestled in the scenic Finger Lakes area of New York State. My family and I have attended retreats there since its inception, maybe thirty years ago.The staff is loving and attentive, the accommodations comfy, and the vegetarian fare is healthy and yummy. Most of all Springwater Center is unique and attractive to me because of its unstructured retreat format. Although there are scheduled meditation periods, talks, group discussion
  opportunities, mealtime, breaks, and time to meet individually with a teacher, nothing is required except an hour of work period to sustain the retreat. There is no prescribed way to meditate except an encouragement to be deeply in touch with oneself on all levels, be completely present with what is happening here now.
  I highly recommend Springwater Center as a beautiful loving space in which to enter into the deep silence of meditation, in communion with others.
